The Information Science and Engineeringprogramme is an interdisciplinary field that combines computer science, information technology, and other fields. It gives students a thorough understanding of data gathering, management, and analysis in various formats. Data structures, algorithms, software engineering, computer networks, information security, and human-computer interaction are all covered in the course. Candidates must have passed a recognised state or central board's 10+2 or equivalent examination. Students must obtain at least 55% (relaxation is provided for designated categories) of their marks in Science disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).

     Candidates must not have any supplementary/ compartment subjects at the 10+2 or equivalent level.

     Aside from academic eligibility, colleges/universities may have their own rules and eligibility criteria that differ from one another.

     Before applying for the course, candidates from the reserved categories should read the admission notification.

     The majority of institutes provide admission based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) (such as JEE Main and UPSEE). To gain admission to these institutes, candidates must pass the corresponding entrance exam with minimum qualifying marks.
